Nipples

If you came to this page looking for titillating news, I'm afraid you're out of luck

Are your nipples are raw, tender or bleeding after a long ride? Just like marathon runners, male cyclists often suffer from tender nipples.  Indeed, they can even bleed.  This is because your jersey or t-shirt is rubbing against your nipples constantly over extended periods of time.  The repetitive nature of this will take its toll.

How do you avoid this?  It's quite simple.  Get a couple of band-aids and tape your nipples.  Regular band-aids work fine, but if you are looking for style there are many different shapes, colors and prints to choose from. Check out the kid's band-aid section and try some Homer Simpson ones! Sports tape works well too.

Why is this not usually a problem for women? Well we women tend to wear sports bras which keep those nipples firmly in place, preventing nipple chafing.  Simple as that.

Happy riding

Sorry about the plug for Band-Aid - but here are some options they do have.  Other brands work just as well!
