1 14 miles Del Rey Park, Playa Vista (where Culver Blvd meets the ocean @ Pacific).  This ride is basically flat with a few rolling hills. A quick loop along Vista Del Mar with wonderful views of the ocean.  Longer (Level 3) 52 mile route also on slip.
1 25 miles The Village, 1125 McCadden Pl, Hollywood (1 block E of Highland, 1/2 block N of Santa Monica).  Venice Blvd to the Beach.  Relatively flat ride takes you down to Venice and back. Elevation map included in route slip.
1 25 Miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood - Beach.  Beginner's ride to the beach via Beverly Hills, Westwood & Brentwood.
1 25 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood - Marina.  Beginner's Ride to the Marina & back.  part of ride is on the Ballona Creek Bike Path.
2 25 Miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood - Beach with Bellagio climb. Ride to the beach & back via Beverly Hills, Westwood & Brentwood. Climb Bellagio in Bel Air.  Route slip also includes a Level 2-3 - 35 mile option with a 5 mile steady climb up Mandeville.
1 29 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) West Hollywood - Marina.  Flat ride to Marina and back via Ballona Creek bike path, Santa Monica and Beverly Hills
2 30 miles Helen's Santa Monica 2501 Broadway @ 26th.  Park on the street. Short route - flat spin down PCH to Malibu and back.  There is also a 50 mile option.  From Cross Creek add some hills along PCH to Trancas. 
2 32 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood - Beach - climb up Belagio & Bundy.  Ride through Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Brentwood. Beginner climb up Belagio before pit stop.  After pit stop climb Bundy (approx. 2.5 miles) and enjoy the views from Mount St. Mary's.
2 33 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Ride to Marina via Ballona Creek bike path.  Return through Beverly Hills

2-3 35 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Pacific Design Center - Mandeville.  Ride to the beach & back with 5-mile steady hill - Mandeville Canyon.  Back through Beverly Hills.
2-3 35 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Pacific Design Center - Mandeville & Bellagio.   Ride to the beach & back via Beverly Hills, Westwood & Brentwood. 3 35 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Franklin Canyon Ride.  Climb Franklin Canyon, ride along the rolling hills of Mulholland Drive before enjoying the descent down Sepulveda.  Loop down to the Ocean along San Vicente before heading home via Beverly Hills
2 40 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Flat beginners ride to Hermosa Beach
Ride to Hermosa Beach & back via Ballona Creek.  This is a flat ride.

3 40 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) Nichols & Rolling Hills of Mulholland.  Climb Nichols Canyon, ride along the rolling hills of Mulholland Drive before enjoying the descent down Sepulveda.  Loop down to the Ocean along San Vicente before heading home via Beverly Hills
3 42 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) Nichols & Sepulveda.  Climb Nichols Canyon, descend Laurel Cyn into the Valley.  Climb Sepulveda back to the Westside.  Loop down to the Ocean along San Vicente before heading home via Beverly Hills
3 42 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) Nichols Cahuenga & Sepulveda. Climb Nichols Canyon, Woodrow Wilson, Caheunga & Sepulveda.  Back via Beverly Hills
3-4 42 miles Miramar Park, Redondo Beach, Calle Miramar / Paseo del la Playa. The Ups & Downs of Palos Verdes. Ups - PV East, Hawthorne & Via Del Monte.  Downs – PV North, Hawthorne & Silver Spur.  This is a difficult level 3 or an easy level 4 ride- a hill climbing ride with very few flats but some amazing downhills.  Mileage is approximate. 
2-3 46 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Flat ride to Marina.  Then ride through to Brentwood for steady 5-mile climb up Mandeville Canyon. Back through Beverly Hills.  Add another climb up Bundy for the 52 mile route.
3 47 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) WeHo - Beach.  Flat ride to Marina.  Then ride through to Brentwood for steady 5-mile climb up Mandeville Canyon. Back through Beverly Hills.  Add another climb up Bundy for the 53 mile route.
3 50 miles Helen's Santa Monica 2501 Broadway @ 26th.  Park on the street. PCH to Trancas.  Flat spin down PCH to Malibu then some hills to Trancas. Enjoy climbs up Pepperdine & Zuma and the rolling hills past Malibu.
4 50 miles Helen's Santa Monica 2501 Broadway @ 26th.  Park on the street. Malibu Canyon Ride.  Helen's Santa Monica (Broadway @ 26th) - Malibu & Topanga.  Flat spin to Malibu then hill work up Malibu Canyon, Mulholland Hwy and Old Topanga Canyon.  Very pretty ride.
3 52 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Flat ride to Marina.  Then ride through to Brentwood for steady 5-mile climb up Mandeville Canyon. Back through Beverly Hills.  Add another climb up Bundy for the 52 mile route.
3 52 miles Del Rey Park, Playa Vista (where Culver Blvd meets the ocean @ Pacific) To Palos Verdes and back.  The ride has a few hills going into Palos Verdes and a short but steep climb in Hermosa Beach.  Short (Level 1) 14 mile route also on route slip.
3 53 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) Flat ride to Marina.  Then ride through to Brentwood for steady 5-mile climb up Mandeville Canyon. Back through Beverly Hills.  Add another climb up Bundy for the 53 mile route.
3 55 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Pacific Design Center - Cross Creek, Malibu (San Vicente @ Santa Monica, West Hollywood). Ride to Malibu & back via Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Brentwood with a climb up Pepperdine.
3 55 miles Cubby’s Coffee House, 4455 Overland Avenue, Culver City, between Culver and Jefferson. Street parking. Going up and around the Palos Verdes peninsula.  The route starts with a warm up down Balona Creek bike path then head to Palos Verdes for a clockwise loop.  Hills are Paseo de la Playa (short), Via Campesina and PV East.
3 55 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. 3 Hill Ride - Benedict Cyn, Sepulveda & Mandeville Cyn.  Add some climbing to your ride.  Up Benedict to Mulholland then down Laurel into the Valley.  Return to the Westside via Sepulveda & add a 5.3 mile climb up Mandeville Cyn in Brentwood before returning to WeHo
3 59 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) Palos Verdes.  Flat ride to Palos Verdes then some hill climbing before returning.
4 61 miles Del Rey Park, Playa Vista (where Culver Blvd meets the Ocean @ Pacific) Ride to Malibu Canyon, Mulholland Hwy and Old Topanga Canyon.  This is an advanced ride with plenty of hill climbing.
4 75 miles West Hollywood Park.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. park in Pacific Design Center Parking Lot. West Hollywood Park - Valley (San Vicente @ Santa Monica).  Level 4. Ride to the Valley and back with climbs up Nichols, Tampa and Sepulveda.
4 101 miles Pacific Design Center Parking Lot, West Hollywood.  On San Vicente Blvd between Melrose & Santa Monica Blvd. Ice-cream Century 2001.     Head down to Santa Monica, along PCH to Malibu, over Malibu Canyon to Calabasas, Westlake Village and the Valley to climb Sepulveda back to the Westside and home.  Hills are Malibu Canyon, Mureau and Sepulveda.
4 102.3 miles I Martin Bike Shop, 8330 Beverly Blvd, West Hollywood (near Sweetzer) Ice-cream Century 2000.   To the Beach, Malibu & Valley.  Very much like a typical century on an AIDS or ALC Ride - some flats & some hills.
4 186 miles Helen's Santa Monica 2501 Broadway @ 26th.  Park on the street. Santa Barbara Ride. This is the route is from the amazing annual event put on by Shifting Gears. Ride from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara on Day 1 and return on Day2.

1 or 2 12 & 24 miles Griffith Park (Pony Rides - corner of Los Feliz and Riverside/Crystal Springs Drive) The 12 mile is a flat loop around the park.  The 24 mile adds a second loop with a little hill climb - perfect for those just getting used to the thought of climbing.
1 25 miles Griffith Park (Pony Rides - corner of Los Feliz and Riverside/Crystal Springs Drive) Quick ride through the park and outlying areas and back.
1 25 miles 5600 block of Mammoth Avenue, Valley Glen (Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys area) Mammoth is 1 block west of Woodman off Burbank Blvd. Level 1 ride through the valley.
2 30 miles Whole Foods Market, corner of Riverside and Coldwater Canyon.    Sherman Oaks - Glendale.
2 32 miles Bicycle Johns, Burbank - 1022 N Hollywood Way (Hollywood Way & Magnolia.) Ride to Griffith Park and back.  Solid beginner climb in Griffith Park and a steady grade up Sonora.
2 & 3 33, 52 or 66 miles Warner Ranch Park, Woodland Hills.  Take 101 Fwy to Topanga Cyn.  North on Topanga, past light at Burbank Boulevard.  Stay right, right at Mary Lee Street.  Park halfway down the street. Ride through the valley to Calabasas, and Westlake Village.  All rides have some hill climbing.  Short route turns around at Westlake Village.  Middle route goes to Lake Sherwood and turns around.  Long route adds Simi Valley and a climb up Santa Suzanna Pass.  These routes are very similar to a day on the Ride.
2 35 miles 5600 block of Mammoth Avenue, Valley Glen (Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys area) Mammoth is 1 block west of Woodman off Burbank Blvd. Ride through the valley with a climb up Tampa.
2,3 & 4 30, 65 or 75 miles Balboa Park.  Corner of Balboa and Burbank in Encino.  Ride through the valley to Calabasas, and Westlake Village.  All rides have some hill climbing.  Short route turns around in Calabasas.  Long route adds Simi Valley and a climb up Santa Susana Pass.  These routes are very similar to a day on the Ride.
3 38 miles Griffith Park (Pony Rides - corner of Los Feliz and Riverside/Crystal Springs Drive) A spin through the park then climb La Tuna and stop at Montrose for a pastry.  Level 3 ride with a solid training hill.
3 39 miles Griffith Park (Pony Rides - corner of Los Feliz and Riverside/Crystal Springs Drive) Griffith Park - Pasadena. Climb up beautiful Chevy Chase and head to Pasadena for bagels.  Very scenic ride with minimal traffic.  Chevy Chase offers solid hill climbing practice.

1-2 26 or 37 miles University Center, Irvine.  At Michelson and Culver.  Take 405 Fwy to Culver, go south 1/8 mile to Michelson.  Center is on your left. Irvine - Beach Cities Tour - Surf, Sand & Suburbs.  An easy ride to historic downtown Orange.  The longer route adds a couple of gentle hills on the way.
2 32.5 miles University Center, Irvine.  At Michelson and Culver.  Take 405 Fwy to Culver, go south 1/8 mile to Michelson.  Center is on your left. Irvine - Beach Cities Tour - Short.
3 33 or 42 miles University Center, Irvine.  At Michelson and Culver.  Take 405 Fwy to Culver, go south 1/8 mile to Michelson.  Center is on your left. Irvine - Alice's Breakfast in the Park. A flat ride to Huntington Beach with a pit stop at the famous “Alice’s in the Park”.  Optional extension adds a few hills at the end of the ride.
3-4 47 or 53 miles University Center, Irvine.  At Michelson and Culver.  Take 405 Fwy to Culver, go south 1/8 mile to Michelson.  Center is on your left. Irvine - Hills Brothers. RJ’s “Hills Brothers Coffee” route is aptly named: lots of hills with great coffee stops!  Prepare for Day One rollers with a gorgeous route through South County!
3 63 miles AMTRAK Station, Irvine
15215 Barranca Parkway, Irvine.
Irvine - Solana Beach Pizza Ride.  You can load your bikes on the train if there are only one or two riders.
4 63 or 100 miles Diedrich Coffee, Irvine Crossroads Center.  Corner of Culver and Barranca, Irvine. Culver off the 405, north 1.3 miles to Barranca. Irvine - Orange County Metric or Imperial Century. A “Metric Century” of South Orange County with some hills to build your endurance.  Also 100 mile option.
4 102 miles SW corner of Marina Drive and 2nd Street in Long Beach, one block west of PCH. Thomas Bros. 826, E-2. Long Beach - Positive Pedaler Century 2001.  Very flat century ride, mainly along bike paths

2 20 miles Target parking lot, Valencia.  North East corner of McBean Parkway and Magic Mountain Highway. Valencia - Val Verde - Here’s your chance to get out in the country for a lovely little ride with one good climb. 
1 24 miles Vons Shopping Center, Fillmore on Hwy126 at Olive Street.  Across from Moonlight Donut Shop. Fillmore - Santa Paula A flat and fragrant tour of the orange groves of Fillmore and Santa Paula.
2 29 miles Vons Shopping Center, Fillmore on Hwy126 at Olive Street.  Across from Moonlight Donut Shop. Fillmore - South Mountain Loop. A lovely beginners ride through the orange scented citrus groves with a stop for coffee in the metropolis of Santa Paula
3 32 miles Newhall Metrolink Station. Parking is behind the station Valencia - Olvera Street. This is a fun ride through the North San Fernando Valley to Los Angeles’ first street.  Have a Mexican lunch, even a Cerveza because you'll be taking the train back.
2 34 miles Parking lot south of Ventura Pier,  850 E. Harbor Blvd.  $5 parking fee or park free outside the park. Ojai Valley Bike Path. A trip up the fabulous Ventura-Ojai bike path, lunch in Ojai and, on the way back, an optional look at Lake Casitas.  This is a fun one. 
3 37 miles Target parking lot, Valencia.  North East corner of McBean Parkway and Magic Mountain Highway. Valencia - Val Verde  - St. Francis Dam. Here’s a beginner’s adventure through Valencia and Val Verde.  There’s an optional trip up to the St. Francis Dam site if you feel ambitious.
4 42 miles Target parking lot, Valencia.  North East corner of McBean Parkway and Magic Mountain Highway. Valencia - Spunky Canyon. Challenge yourself with a tough climb through the beautiful mountains north of Valencia, then fly down Bouquet Canyon back to town.
3 42 miles Start just south of the Ventura Pier off the Sanjon exit of the 101. Ventura - Carpenteria. Ride along the coast from Ventura to Carpenteria and back.  The ride is pretty flat and the views are AMAZING
3 48 miles Parking lot south of Ventura Pier,  850 E. Harbor Blvd.  $5 parking fee or park free outside the park. Ventura - Ojai Valley Bike Path. A trip up the fabulous Ventura-Ojai bike path, lunch in Ojai and, on the way back, a look at Lake Casitas.  This is a fun one. 
3 50 miles Newhall Metrolink Station. Parking is behind the station Valencia - Olvera Street. This is a fun ride through the North San Fernando Valley to Los Angeles’ first street.  We’ll take the subway for ten miles before we start pedaling over the Newhall Pass and back into Newhall.
3 51 miles Vons Shopping Center, Fillmore on Hwy126 at Olive Street.  Across from Moonlight Donut Shop. Fillmore - Ocean. The World’s easiest half century.  We descend 400 feet on our way to Ventura.  Then ride back with the wind at our backs.  A great half century for beginners
3 52 miles Parking lot south of Ventura Pier,  850 E. Harbor Blvd.  $5 parking fee or park free outside the park. Valencia - Santa Paula - Ojai. This is a challenging ride from the Ventura Pier to Santa Paula, then over the Santa Paula pass and into beautiful Ojai for lunch.  You can take the Ojai bike path back, or make a detour to see Lake Casitas
4 53 miles Start just south of the Ventura Pier off the Sanjon exit of the 101. Ventura - Carpenteria - Montecito. Ride along the coast from Ventura to Montecito and.  There’s only one hill, but it’s one you’ll remember.
4 56 miles Target parking lot, Valencia.  North East corner of McBean Parkway and Magic Mountain Highway. Valencia - Leona Valley. The hills are alive – with the sound of grunting!  Climb your ass off as you scale Bouquet Canyon on your way to Leona Valley.  You’ll fly down historic San Francisquito Canyon back to Valenica
4 63 miles Parking lot south of Ventura Pier,  850 E. Harbor Blvd.  $5 parking fee or park free outside the park. Ventura - Santa Paula - Ojai. This is a challenging ride from the Ventura Pier to Santa Paula, then over the Santa Paula pass and into beautiful Ojai for lunch.  Then take a look at Lake Casitas on our way back to Ventura.
