* PTW "Donor
Dollar Return"
This figure is determined by using 100% of "Other Revenue" to offset Total
Expenses and thereby tends to exaggerate the success of an event. It
tells us how much of each donor's dollar ended back with the charities,
rather than the percentage of total revenue raised going back to the
charities. It cannot provide an accurate indication of the exact %
of all money raised to cover expenses.
The figure is calculated as:
|
100% less |
(Total Expenses -
Other Revenue) x 100 |
| |
Pledge Revenue |
|
‡
True Percentage Return to Charities
This is the more traditionally accepted percentage figure
organizations provide to explain return to charity against fundraising and administration costs
of the event. It is the figure used by government bodies and funding
institutions to determine percentages of return. The figure is calculated as
Net Dollars to Charity divided by Total Revenue:
|
(Total Revenue - Total
Expenses) x 100 |
|
Total Revenue
|
|
&&
Percentage of Total Revenue to Pay Expenses. This figure was
not outlined in Pallotta TeamWork's summary. It equals Total
Expenses divided by Total Revenue.

in 2001 (Montana, Alaska & Canada-US), Pallotta TeamWorks have not
provided separate accounting for each event in their Record of Impact.
